We all know that we are now in an ever digitizing world. We live in a time where computer and electronically typed medium is outpacing and over reaching into the domain of writing that ink and paper has held since paper’s invention. All of us are aware that even in university classrooms computers are becoming even more dominant as the medium in which we communicate.
But does doing all of our work (for school, our jobs, or anywhere else we write) on computer really help us, our efficiency and our ability to write and learn coherently in the long term? Are there still any benefits to actually writing and learning using traditional pen and paper? And if so what are they? How does penmanship affect us and our learning and brains and does physical penmanship still hold any relevance in the digital revolution?
